An invitation from Great Falls First:

On Saturday, September 18, 2010, First Presbyterian Church of Great Falls will host a Stephen Ministry Workshop. This workshop is presented by the national office of Stephen Ministries in St. Louis, Missouri; we are one of only a very few smaller communities to host such an event (typically they are held in Dallas, Boston, etc. or suburbs of major metropolitan areas).

The purpose of the half-day workshop is to introduce area churches to the Stephen Series as a tool to help their congregation more fully be the church that God envisions.

The Stephen Ministry program is applicable to churches of all sizes, and is especially effective in small churches, where the folks know each other well. The in-depth training provided by this program will help the members share the workload of an often over-worked Pastor, giving them confidence to respond as needs arise.

If callers have questions beyond the information listed here, Please contact Penny Adkins - padkins@bresnan.net or (406) 452-4464)

WORKSHOP GOAL

Our goal for this Stephen Ministry Workshop is to introduce you to the Stephen Series as a tool to help your congregation more fully be the church that God envisions. Participating in this workshop will help you:

  1. Be more effective in caring for people who are grieving.
  2. Learn how your congregation can organize and equip its members for more effective Christian caregiving with the Stephen Series.
  3. Be more distinctively Christian in your caring and relating.
